We had a family trip 'Up North' recently to visit our daughter who is studying at York University. We've been to York a few times already so for a change we thought we'd spend a day out shopping in Leeds, the first time we'd ever visited the city. Very impressed by the scale and grandeur of the city, particularly the elegant and historic Victorian Quarter and the incredibly modern and beautiful Victoria Gate - complete with security staff in bowler hats.

Of course this meant I had the perfect excuse to grab some photos in between nipping in and out of comic shops with my son whilst exploring the city. Obviously Victoria Gate was my favourite, a thoroughly modern design with a superb mixture of materials and lots of abstract details. Looking forward to a return visit already to explore the city further.
